Erotische Massage Amsterdam: The Dutch Words Decoded

Erotische massage Amsterdam, translated: the Dutch words on local sites and in chats, from aan huis to contant, so English-speaking guests read them easily.

Look for an erotic massage in Amsterdam on a Dutch phone, or glance at local listings, and a second vocabulary appears beside the English one. The phrase erotische massage Amsterdam is simply the Dutch spelling of what you came for, but the words around it are less obvious, and a few of them change the meaning of a listing entirely. This short glossary is for guests who think in English: the terms you will meet on Dutch sites, in chats and in passing conversation, and what each one actually tells you.

The service words

  • Erotische massage. Erotic massage, exactly as it looks: genuine bodywork with an openly sensual intent. Dutch uses the word with no embarrassment at all.
  • Sensuele massage. Sensual massage, the slower and softer relative. Our sensual massage page describes its pace.
  • Naaktmassage. Naked massage, with both people undressed.
  • Vierhandenmassage. Four-hand massage, given by two women at once, which on this site runs at €360 an hour.
  • Happy end. The Dutch borrowed the English phrase and clipped it; met happy end means with a happy ending.
  • Ontspanningsmassage. Relaxation massage. On a spa menu this is the non-erotic kind, and the most common source of crossed expectations. A listing that offers only this is not an erotic service.

Where it happens

  • Aan huis. Literally at the house; the Dutch way of saying outcall. Massage aan huis means she comes to you.
  • Op locatie and op je hotelkamer. On location, and in your hotel room. The same idea, applied to a different kind of address.
  • Ontvangst or privé ontvangst. Receiving, meaning you travel to her. Everything on this site is the reverse: outcall only, to hotels, apartments and homes.
  • De Wallen and de Rosse Buurt. The two local names for the Red Light District, the first heard far more often. If you are sleeping in those lanes, see our page on erotic massage in the Red Light District.

Erotische massage Amsterdam: the booking words

  • Afspraak. Appointment. Een afspraak maken is to make one.
  • Vanavond and nu. Tonight and now, the two most typed words in the city at eleven p.m.
  • Appen. To message someone on WhatsApp, a verb every Dutch person uses daily. Even appen means to send a quick line.
  • Bevestiging. Confirmation, the reply that names her and the time, normally about ten minutes after your own message.
  • Tot straks. See you shortly. A Dutch-speaking woman might sign off with it just before she sets out.
  • Verlengen. To extend. Kan ik verlengen? asks whether another hour can follow, which works whenever her diary is clear and costs the same hourly figure.
  • 21 jaar of ouder. Twenty-one or older, the age every guest here must be, without exception.

The money words

  • Contant. Cash. Notes in any major currency are fine at our door, not only euros.
  • Pinnen. Paying by bank card, named after the PIN code you type. Cards are welcome here, and so is crypto.
  • Aanbetaling. Deposit. Worth knowing, because geen aanbetaling, no deposit, is how an honest outcall listing ought to read. If a site wants one before anybody arrives, walk away.
  • Fooi. Tip. Never expected here; the note on tipping after an erotic massage explains why.
  • Per uur. Per hour. The figure on this site is €180 per uur, or €360 per uur for two women together.
  • Hele nacht. The whole night. Here that means eight hours for €1,250, sleep and a slow morning included.

Words of mood and manner

Three everyday Dutch words say a great deal about how an evening here is meant to feel. Gezellig has no tidy English equivalent; it covers cosy, convivial and pleasantly unhurried all at once, and it is about the highest compliment a Dutch guest can pay a room. Lekker means tasty but gets applied to anything enjoyable, from a sandwich to a massage to a sunny terrace. And doe normaal, roughly behave yourself, is what a local says when someone turns loud or pushy, which sums up the etiquette of any booking rather neatly.

Why the vocabulary helps

For one thing, Dutch listings are blunter than many visitors expect, and knowing the words lets you tell at a glance whether a page describes a spa, an address you must visit or an outcall service like this one. For another, several women on the roster speak Dutch: Cricket, who is Dutch herself, and Brielle and Constance, who come from Belgium, where Flemish is a daily language. A few words in her own tongue, however clumsily pronounced, tend to earn a smile at the door.

A sample message, in both languages

If you fancy trying, here is a complete booking line in Dutch, with the English beneath it:

Hoi, vanavond om 22:00, hotel bij het Leidseplein, twee uur, erotische massage.
Hi, tonight at 22:00, hotel near Leidseplein, two hours, erotic massage.

English works equally well, of course, and it is the language most threads are written in. Either language gets the same quick answer, and the guide to booking an erotic massage at your hotel covers each step after it. Tot straks.

The rest happens behind your door

Reading about the hour is the slowest way to spend it. Send the hotel or the street, the time you have in mind and the length you want, and a woman’s name sits in the thread roughly ten minutes later.

Outcall only: €180 an hour with one woman, €360 with two, handed over when she arrives in cash, by card or in crypto. For guests aged twenty-one and over.
